Dutch Oven Apple Cobbler

Dutch Oven Apple Cobbler

2 (20 ounce) cans apple pie filling

1 yellow cake mix

1 can sprite or 7up

1 cube butter or margarine

1.  Pour apple pie filling into bottom of a 12 or 14 inch dutch oven.  Sprinkle dry cake mix over pie filling.  Pour soda over cake mix. Dot with cube of butter.  Cover with lid.  Ring outer edge of lid with hot briquettes.  Place oven over a circle of hot briquettes.  This should create a 350 degree oven.  Bake for 50 minutes or until cake mix is lightly browned.  This is delicious served with vanilla ice cream. Serves 16.
